Auction called success

A real estate auction on Saturday at the W.E. Skelton 4-H Center in Wirtz was called a success by auctioneer Russell Seneff of Woltz & Associates, Inc.

Lots on the auction block included 16 parcels in the Waterside development, three in Compass Cove, and one each in The Water's Edge and The Windward. All were undeveloped, and most were owned by Lake Watch, LLC.

The auction was well-attended and a good number of the lots sold," said Seneff. "The 9-acre parcel on Betty's Creek sold great, and we also had a good sale on The Water's Edge lot."

Seneff said that most of the 21 smaller lots on the auction block sold, though some of the Waterside lots did not.

"We would have liked to have moved more of the inventory in Waterside, but overall we were very happy with the way the auction turned out," he said.
