Fresh Seafood Co. Restaurant closes doors

The Fresh Seafood Co. Restaurant Market closed this week, but a new restaurant is expected to open at the former seafood eaterie's location on Hendricks Store Road in Moneta. Owner Tim Cerullo said in addition to the slow economy taking its toll on the business, he was spread too thin with two other restaurants in Charleston, W.Va., and another in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The Cerullos have been in the seafood restaurant business for more than 30 years.

Fresh Seafood Co. Restaurant Market opened in March. Before that, it was Mac Daddy's Restaurant.

Cerullo said he sold the restaurant to a fellow restaurateur, although he did not say to whom he sold it, what type of restaurant it would be or when it would open.
