Sponsors donate funds from After 5 Jive

Lee Willard, vice president of corporate holdings at The Willard Companies (left), and Jim Townsend, general manager of Kroger at Westlake (right) presented a $1,000 check to Pat Koger, executive director of United Way of Franklin County on Monday. The check represents proceeds from the July 1 After 5 Jive. The next event, which also will benefit United Way, will be Thursday, Aug. 5 at Westlake Towne Center. Gates open at 5 p.m. Part-Time Party Time Band will perform from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event also will feature a children's play area, including inflatable slides and a moonwalk. Admission is $5; children 10 and under are admitted free. Food, beverages and alcohol will be available for sale.
