After 5 Jive returns June 7
The event, which features live music and family activities, is a fundraiser for United Way.
After 5 Jive at Smith Mountain Lake summer concert series will return to the lake on Thursday June 7.
The event, presented by Prudential Waterfront Properties, will feature Project 4 Band performing at Westlake Towne Center next to Kroger. Gates open at 5 p.m.; live music will start at 5:30 p.m. and continue until 8:30 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the United Way of Franklin County.
"The After 5 Jive is a great local forum to bring the family and meet friends coupled with generating much-needed dollars to benefit the United Way of Franklin County," said Christopher Finley, director of marketing and communications for The Willard Companies.
Admission for adults is $5; children 10 and under are admitted free. A valid ID is required for those 21 and older.
A children's play area along with food and drink vendors will be on site. Lawn chairs are welcome. Coolers, outside food or drinks, inline skates, skateboards and pets are not allowed. Events are subject to cancellation because of inclement weather.
Following is the schedule for the remainder of the series:
- Thursday, July 5, Super Hold, 5 to 8:30 p.m.
- Thursday, Aug. 2, The Catalinas, 5 to 8:30 p.m.
- Thursday, Sept. 6, Mark Roberts and Breeze, 5 to 8:30 p.m.
