Welcome to smithmountainlake.com, Laker Media’s space in the Internet. Laker Media is a division of  Times-World Corporation (d/b/a The Roanoke Times) and is located at Smith Mountain Lake in Southwestern Virginia. This site is powered by Roanoke.com.

We've adopted a set of information management guidelines that serve as the basis for our customer and advertiser relationships. These guidelines have been developed with the recognition that Internet technologies are rapidly evolving, as are underlying business models. We reserve the right to change these guidelines at any time. Any such changes will be posted on this page. These guidelines do not apply to the practices of entities that raonoke.com and its affiliates do not control or to individuals who are not under our control.

The following privacy policy applies to smithmountainlake.com, The Roanoke Times, roanoke.com and other Web sites owned and operated by the Times-World Corp. We are affiliated with other online companies, some of which feature our branding. Your personal information

Indemnity

This obligation shall survive the termination of this Agreement for any reason. Take-Down Policy

The Online Service web sites include weblogs, forums, photo galleries and other interactive areas in which users can express opinions and share ideas and information. We cannot and do not monitor all of the material submitted to the Online Service. Additionally, we do not control, and are not responsible for, Content submitted by users.

By using the Online Service web sites, you may be exposed to Content that you may find offensive, indecent, inaccurate, misleading, or otherwise objectionable. You agree that you must evaluate, and bear all risks associated with, the use of the Online Service web sites and any Content on the Online Service web sites, including, but not limited to, whether you should rely on such Content .
