Preschool welcomes new teacher

Carla Helton

Carla Helton is the new head teacher for the Terrific Twos class at Bethlehem United Methodist Preschool. Helton has nine years of preschool teaching experience with 2- to 5-year-old children. Most recently she was the Child Development director at the Franklin County Family YMCA.

Helton graduated from Radford University with a degree concentration in Human Development and Psychology. She also is certified to teach First Aid and CPR through the American Red Cross.

Bethlehem Preschool, an outreach of Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Moneta, offers a class for 2-year-olds on Monday and Wednesday, a class for 3-year-olds on Tuesday and Thursday, and a class for 4-year-olds on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
