Volunteers are the linchpin to helping the home tour operate smoothly, according to executive director Sandra Morse, who added she is grateful for them.

“The organizing, planning and preparation for this year’s tour has been done. But it is the volunteers at the tour homes – who welcome the guests and manage boat and car traffic – who really make the weekend enjoyable,” she said.

Looking ahead to next year, the tour also is seeking volunteers to be a part of its 30th anniversary, which is currently in the planning stages, Morse said.

“We know from experience that tour volunteers often find that their participation is a great experience, and many continue supporting the tour and its participating charities in some way,” she said. “We are eager to discuss the available planning team roles with any and all who are interested. Please call me at 804-641-9257 at your convenience.”
