The Borum home in Union Hall is one of eight homes featured on this year’s tour.

The Smith Mountain Lake Charity Home Tour returns for its 29th year Oct. 11 through 13. This year eight lakefront homes will be showcased with proceeds benefiting local charities.

Homes featured on the tour this year are:

n Breckinridge Home, 1250 Hidden Waters Lane, Moneta

n Shea Home, 2422 Patmos Church Road, Huddleston

n Koury Home, 308 Pine Drive, Huddleston

n Kellstrom Home, 2222 Capewood Drive, Huddleston

n Mallen Home, 19 Atlantic Ave., Moneta

n Nester Home, 715 Tranquility Road, Moneta

n Borum Home, 3576 Kemp Ford Road, Union Hall

n Thompson Home, 257 Dudley Road, Union Hall

Proceeds from this year’s tour are benefiting eight area charities, including Helping Hands of Franklin County, Adult Care Center of Central Virginia, Agape Center, Bedford Pregnancy Center, Faith Network of Franklin County, Franklin County Family YMCA, Tackfully Teamed Riding Academy and SML Good Neighbors Inc.

Tickets are $25 ($30 on tour days) and are good for one visit per home over three days. Tickets will be available for purchase at each of the homes on tour days.

Each of the homes are accessible by water or by land.

Hours for the tour are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 11 and 12 and 1 to 5 p.m. on Oct. 13.
